Today we spotted a gopher snake on the hillside. A rather big one at about 4 feet. Gopher snakes are native to California, but they are also kept as pets. Due to the size and the location, this snake would most likely get run over by a car. our very own Lila Talcott of Yggdrasil Urban Wildlife Rescue captured the snake and is making sure it will find a safe place.
